Types of Power Kites

Power kites have gained immense popularity amongst kite fliers from around the world lately, and there are basically two categories of these kites which are used by the mainstream public. The first category happen to be two line power kite and the second one is the four live power kite.

Two line power kites are basically recommended for amateur kite fliers since handling them is very simple and their design is not at all complicated. All you have to do is to connect both the flying lines to the bridle and you would be flying your kite in no time. Also, controlling them is also very easy since all it requires is to pull the right line in order to manoeuvre it rightwards, and pull the left line for pulling it in the left direction. However, the manoeuvring capabilities of these kites are limited by their design and that is why they are great for those of you who are just starting to learning how to fly them. But at the same time, it can be a lot of fun flying these types of kites specially if you are out with your family or friends.

The second category of power kites happens to be four line ones. These power kites are aimed for those users who have had a long experience of flying kites and seek more thrill in their experience. This type of kite has two extra lines attached for use as brakes and allow you to manoeuvre your power kite the way you like it. The design does not at all limit your range making them a very popular option. You will come across a huge variety of four line power kites in the market these days depending on their size and shape. However, these kites are less stable and are very volatile, which means controlling them can be pretty difficult.
